Careers education in schools prepares students for future employment through structured guidance, work experience, and curriculum links. It aims to raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes from a young age, and ensure informed choices about education and training. Key elements include employer encounters, personalised advice, and connecting classroom learning to the workplace.

At Les Beaucamps High School we offer careers guidance in years 10 and 11, within our PSHCE lessons. This also includes tips on creating CV's along with interview skills.

Year 11 also have the additional option of a one-to-one careers guidance meeting with Careers Guernsey, if they wish.

Work experience is offered in year 11 for pupils whose target pathway is either an apprenticeship or full-time employment.
